Unlock: Special World

Complete World 8.

Play as Luigi

Successfully complete the game. Then, go to Special World 1 and complete the castle. When at the touch screen beneath the World Map, tap on the "L"

Play as Super Mario (w/o hat) and Little Mario (w/ hat)

Accumulate 1,110 lives (triple-crown icon) and switch to Super Mario or Super Luigi.

Unlock Saved Game Star Icons: 1 star

Defeat Bowser in the final level of World 8.

Unlock Saved Game Star Icons: 2 stars

Complete every Level as Mario.

Unlock Saved Game Star Icons: 3 stars

Complete every Level as Luigi.

Unlock Saved Game Star Icons: 4 stars

Gather/Collect the gold flag on all Levels.

Unlock Saved Game Star Icons: 5 stars

Complete every stage with Mario and Luigi and have a Golden Flagpole on each stage with one of the brothers.

Unlock: Final Level

Earn a 5-star icon on your saved game file.

Unlock: Alternate title screen

Save and exit a game in the middle of game play in any Special World.
