"You are missing out if you aren't playing this game right now"

From the start of the game, you quickly realize that this is going to be one hell of a hard game to stop playing. Valve made the game almost seem like an interactive movie. Half-life opens with an interactive FMV sequence that features the credits (like a movie).  As you travel to an underground secret area, with out even any action, you will impressed beyond belief.

In Half-life, you are called into a top secret scientific institution to look around.  While aiding in an experiment, something goes wrong, and and aliens are everywhere.  Now, all you want to do is get out alive!  Throughout the game, constant surprises and twists are thrown at you to keep you guessing.  Half-life is very eye-catching, with great graphics and very detailed environments.  While playing the game, you will find countless times when you are convinced you are about to beat the game, just to find out you have several hours to go. Amazingly, the game only gets better.

The AI of the SWAT team is near perfect, and very difficult. For example, once, I snuck up on a soldier from behind.  Just before I went for the kill, another soldier jumped out from behind me and one jumped down from a helicopter above.  Each SWAT member works together to get the job done with excellent skill. But hey, you can command people around too. If you run into one of the many security guards, you can ask them to follow you. They will help you fight and get into locked doors.  While they may be good fighters, they are not to bright, and get confused if you run to fast. A box in their path could require you to guide them around it.  See kids, that is why you shouldn't do drugs.

I have to give credit to Valve for making an excellent soundtrack. The music always matches the current situation. If you are making a break for it, the music will pump you up, if you are being stalked, the music will give you goose bumps (literally).

Half-life has the best multi-player I have ever played. You choose a role to play, an you therefore have different weapons, skills, and traits. From the sniper, to the demo-man, to the medic, it has it all. You can then play all your friends in a little combat (and show them who is boss).  After playing countless hours on it, I realized that I wasn't going to be able to stop anytime soon.

Half-life is the best PC game I have ever played.  It is an innovative, jaw-dropping game that will not be forgotten or abandoned by gamers for a good deal of time. You are missing out if you aren't playing this game right now.
